Hi there, I'm a dutch web dev working in the e-commerce world. In the past years I have spent many hours watching Twitch, during those years I created some hobby projects to improve streamer/chatter experiences while at the same time improving my programming skills.

These hobby projects are API's that can be called by chatbots. The first one I've created was Destiny command a tool to check your Destiny character information in the chat by typing for example !destiny primary xgerhard to display the primary weapon the streamer is using at that moment. After seeing how much fun developing and interacting with the Twitch community was, I've made similar apps for Fortnite, PUBG, Apex, Splitgate.

Since I started playing around with Twitch commands I've always been using Nightbot. Easy to use, handy features to implements custom API's. I've been active on their support forums to help out others, and sometimes find inspiration for new projects. For example: NBQueue a queue system for Nightbot, a stopwatch/timer, or a single command to check your followage (how long a user follows a channel). And recently I created XGPT, use Nightbot as ChatGPT AI chatbot.

These are fun spare time projects, but it's hard to find time and joy sometimes next to a full time developing job. That's why not all of these projects can be actively developed, so some are just in 'being maintained' status.

These project are, and will be, free, the learning journey and meeting new people in the Twitch community has made all the time put in worth it.

However servers cost money, just as some API resources like the OpenAI ChatGPT API. More users means a higher bill. I'm renting a small VPS which handles the traffic fine most of the time.
