Hi! I'm Reza and I love 3D graphics, design, type, and motion. I'm working on an open source graphics library, Satin, that helps designers & developers make beautiful apps, games, experiences with Apple's Metal API & Swift.
Metal is a very low level API, its super clean and efficient! Which is great for performance. There are other frameworks that leverage Metal to make apps and things, but I wanted to make something open, hack-able, and flexible so us developers & designer can make radical new things. That is how Satin was born. A side project that eventually turned into my life.
Satin is still very young, its been in development for less than a year. It is the fourth graphics framework I've written and I'm trying my best to make it the best one!
Making pretty images with Satin is 100x easier and faster than using the Metal API. I've spent tons of time building essentials and examples so you don't have to waste tons of time trying to figure all the low level details of Metal.
Satin allows beginners to get things on screen quickly, and also allows graphics experts to write shaders, compute kernels, particle systems, wire up buffers & textures to draw calls and much much more.
With your support, I can spend more time on making Satin the go to framework for doing creative things with Metal. Your support will allow me to spend more time on developer issues, feature requests, bug fixes and building community and answering questions.
