Relationship Log only changes?

So on m User model, i have:

    public function getActivitylogOptions(): LogOptions
    {
        return LogOptions::defaults()
            ->logUnguarded()
            ->logOnly(['bid_category'])
            ->logExcept(['last_seen_at','updated_at','last_opened_bid_at','email_verified_at','created_at'])
            ->logOnlyDirty()
            ->dontSubmitEmptyLogs();
    }

and on my model, the relationship is like so:

Unfortunately it always logs the relationship no matter if anything has changed or not. The standard fields work as expected and only log when changed. Any suggestions?

Oops, I just noticed that old and new data is always the same for a relationship, so it doesnt seem to show the old values. ugh. Its always the same when it comes to relational data even when changes are made.

@MACscr did you get anywhere with this?

I have a similar problem with a belongsToMany but changing that alone doesn't fire the tapActivity method at all.
