Can SMplayer detect and play files in subfolders?

I have a main parent folder with many subfolders in it
Is there a setting in SMPlayer that will enable it to detect the files in the subfolders? Manually adding the files in each subfolder would take a long time. I have looked and do not see such an option.

MPC-HC player can do this by default, but in other respects it is not as robust a video player app.

Check the option "Add files in directories recursively" in Preferences -> Playlist.
