TBD if anything beyond #53 is required here. Let's complete #53 and then test this with Grafana 8.

Hi,
I just added a pull request to include information on how to use the plugin with Grafana 8 (as long as it is not signed yet): #55

Besides that i tested the datasource with Grafana 8.1.2 to check any issues regarding functionality - it works fine!
