We use Jive’s gravatar plugin (http://developer.boss.org/gravatar/<hash>) but we should consider using Akamaized proxy of it under http://static.jboss.org/developer/gravatar/
e.g.
http://static.jboss.org/developer/gravatar/9d09f05d50ce6624040126d9eaf727b8

It's cached on Akamai for 10 days.
