This is a very dynamic role where you will provide technical assistance, fix and resolve customer problems, collaborate with engineering on various product issues, and contribute to projects revolving around support tools, knowledge management, our growing market place of solutions, and more.</p>\n <h2 class=\"jobSectionHeader\"><b> Responsibilities:</b></h2>\n <ul>\n  <li> Provide technical support for enterprise customers</li>\n  <li> Develop a deep understanding of the Splunk product</li>\n  <li> Solve technical issues to establish the root cause of problems and form a solution or workaround across a range of environments</li>\n  <li> Provide documentation content and participate in online forum support for real-time questions from Splunk users.</li>\n  <li> Reproduce customer issues and if necessary file bug reports, raise cases to engineering, and provide necessary documentation</li>\n </ul>\n <h2 class=\"jobSectionHeader\"><b> Requirements:</b></h2>\n <ul>\n  <li> Experience with the following systems is a must: UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), Windows, and Mac OS</li>\n  <li> Understanding of regular expressions (Regex) and Python scripting</li>\n  <li> Knowledge in the following areas is a plus: Perl and shell scripting, XML, HTML</li>\n  <li> Experience in Business Intelligence a plus</li>\n  <li> Be able to isolate problems between hardware and software and provide information to appropriate development team(s)</li>\n  <li> The ability to shift gears and focus is essential when supporting a product like Splunk</li>\n  <li> Solid knowledge of networking concepts</li>\n  <li> Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting, problem solving, and problem resolution</li>\n  <li> Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must</li>\n  <li> Must be able to work in a fast paced technical environment and support a product with frequent product releases and regular maintenance updates</li>\n  <li> Experience in technical support, system administration, or similar technical role</li>\n  <li> Pluses: Experience in Business Intelligence and fluent in Spanish (writing and speaking in technical terms) a huge plus (but not required)</li>\n </ul>\n <h2 class=\"jobSectionHeader\"><b> Education:</b></h2>\n <p> Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar degree or equivalent work experience</p>\n <p> #LI-Remote<br> <br> We value diversity, equity, and inclusion at Splunk and are an equal employment opportunity employer. There is also always a lot of troubleshooting of user reported issues, bugs, and feature requests that are coming our way. You can improve our current Python backend implementation and help us get Rotki to the next level! \n<br>As an open source project, we work collaboratively on our codebase on GitHub in a style that should be familiar to anyone who has participated in an OSS community before. If you haven’t — we’re happy to support you in defining and writing great feature descriptions, and breaking them down into dev tasks, and shipping them to customers around the world. \n<br>This is an early stage open source company, so there is an opportunity to take on a variety of tasks beyond the app, such as the backend of the website, and our API. \n<br>\n<br> \n<b>Requirements:</b>\n<br> Excellent command of python. \n<br>\n<br> \n<b>Bonus Points:</b>\n<br> Write tests for features you code and bugs you fix. Not strict TDD, but we’re always looking to increase test coverage \n<br>\n<br> \n<b>Understanding of the frontend tech used in Rotki:</b> Typescript + vue.js + electron.
