The abbreviation id. (idem. is a Latin term meaning "the same". It is commonly abbreviated as id., which is particularly used in legal citations to denote the previously cited source (compare ibid.). )
In MW, I think this is used as a reference to the previous headword.
If one is using a non-list display of MW (e.g., Basic, Advanced Search, mobile1), then it is a hassle to
find that previous headword and thus resolve 'id.'
There should be some way to improve this situation.
What are some suggestions?
