Let me ask a simple question. What do we mean by saying "a photon is <i>absorbed</i> by material?" and when do we say that a photon is <i>scattered </i> by material? The good answer is provided at the "Foundations of radiation hydrodynamics" written by Mihalas & Mihalas. Here I add little reflections on it.<br>
