How is data persistence being handled?

I am interested in using your deployment template (or a version of it) but I want to make sure I fully understand the data persistence behavior.

When the pods are restarted, do the processors configured by users persist across the restarts? How/where is this handled? Thank you for any info on this, I didn't see anything specific in the configs related to this, and I have been experiencing behavior in my own lab where the processors and groups are wiped after pod restart.
