+1 for RDATE. Would this be hard for a new contributor to try their hand at?

All the code for calculating recurrences is in the RecurrenceIterator class.

The class itself is one of the hardest things I've ever written, that said.. with some programming background you should be able to figure it out. It's harder to extend that stuff than to write it from scratch anyway.

If you're feeling confident, go for it.

Make sure you include a unittest.
