Bug: responsive card is not responsive using CDN import

when using cdn import:

Responsive card (vertical on small screen, horizontal on large screen) - does not change to 'card-side' at any breakpoint (lg:card-side, md:card-side ... )

tested with both tailwind 2 and 3
at root level of document and also within another component e.g. body of modal
