Perhaps it would be better if there are new maintainers (even if only part-time) to look after the crates? After all, the rust-netlink has only 1 member right now very few active members right now.

The main problem though is not that my PR is unreviewed... rather, it's about the slow (or even lack of) maintainer activity surrounding the rust-netlink crates.
