The usual -- the type is invalid ("enum discriminant overflowed"), but we're running MIR passes on that code anyway and so things fail because the MIR references invalid types. rustc is way too "good" at continuing the build when there was an error. Do we not have a systematic way to "taint" faulty data so that we can avoid later passes seeing invalid input? |
