How to display numeric arg right away

I'd like the numeric arg to be displayed at prompt right away when used.
Is it possible?

It is accessible in user defined widget in $NUMERIC

I think it's a great idea to display the numeric argument in prompt. Do you know of a zsh prompt/theme that does it?
