I know, I know, everyone hates sliders.

• A left caret and right caret at the left and right side of the screen.
• Background banner in the middle for the current content
• Shadow that fades to lessen in the middle and becomes stronger on the left side, making text such as the description of a piece of content look much more readable. #37
• Title of current content
• (No rating of content, we'll remove this and the star rating)
• Content info - Content rating (optional), runtime and release date
• Description
• Play button
• Optional trailer - "Preview" button #36
• Only display Preview (movie trailer) button if there's actually a trailer CID or external trailer link available
• Display part of the banner for the items to the left and right of the currently loaded featured item. In the event that there is only one or two featured items, the remaining banners should simply get wider.
