Connecting multiple sockets to the same input?

I'm looking into use rete for building an editor for interactive audio fiction. In this scenario I'd need to be able to have sockets from multiple nodes connect to the same input. Would that be possible with rete is it stands today? Or could a competent js developer hack it to do that with less then a week's work?
