Rerendering doesn't change anything

I am calling render with updates to my template class. However, the generated html doesn't change! Is there a cache somewhere of the template? Is there a way to force a full regeneration?

This is true even over restarts of the node server.

Please help!

It would help if I didn't have an error further down in the code that was keeping the calling class from rebuilding! My fault!
