Event Listener on changing map layers

Thanks for the fantastic library!

This library supports multiple map layers, but only one set of map Shapes and map Markers for all map layers.

I wonder if there is an event listener for changing between map layers so that I could add a custom function on changing layers or update the map shapes or map markers.

Do you know if the Leaflet documentation has such a listener? If so, it could be added to the library.
