I have a jack shaft mj series opener (https://www.liftmaster.com/mj-jackshaft-operator-medium-duty-door-operator/p/MJ) with physical limit switches and a 3 button control (Open, Close, Stop). Using the v2.53i I have used the ESPHome ratgdo 'dry contact control' firmware

I have followed the wiring per this diagram https://ratgdo.github.io/esphome-ratgdo/wiring_diagrams/dry_contact_diagram.png:

  • the open/close pins are connected to the corresponding limit switches
  • ground pin is connected to common ('CMN')
  • obst pin is connected to the 'CLOSE' terminal
  • door pin is connected to the 'OPEN' terminal
  • I do not have anything connected to the 3 or 4 pin connectors

There is a 'security +' label on the life control board next to the 14 pin connector.

My Issue:
When I initially connect power to the ratgdo the door immediately opens. The local web ui on the device will often not load but if it does, the controls don't operate the door. Do you have any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

Can you post the serial log from the ESP Home web UI?
