We deprecated the Markdown format in 2.0, it's time to remove it with the upcoming 3.0 release!

Definition of Done

  • Do a lightweight scope document to list the things that need to be removed / adapted (including addressing comments on PRETRAINED_EXTRACTORS constant, and this TODO)
  • Actually drop it from the codebase
  • Update our documentation to reflect the change
  • Include a changelog item (maybe more that this needs to be done, do we need coordination with devrel?)
  • Communicate changes in the rasa.shared package to the person in charge of the implementation of the Rasa X changes (information should be available in 3.0 action plan)

Decided that everything Markdown related should be in a separate drop markdown project (will be implemented later)
