Cross compiling from Windows?

Has anyone had any luck compiling from Windows, or even a x64 Linux machine?

I'd like to integrate an 'Enable CORS' option so I can try my hand at calling the API commands, but I only have a Raspberry Pi to compile Arm7 with (or so I believe). The Pi gets so long into the compilation process, but I suspect runs out of memory and then fails hours later.

I may have a few Android phones I could try it on, but does anyone have any recommendations for me to get this thing compiled?
