Overlays for WPF like in Winforms

I've run into the same issue as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30922211/overlays-in-gmap-net-wpf where it would be really nice to have an overlays collection like in the winforms control. This would be useful for complex overlays with disjoint geometry where you aren't simple dealing with a marker.
