I'd prefer if all four corners & whole sides could be used for window re-sizing
currently if the widow gets so large you can't reach the bottom-right corner, you are screwed
Seems to me that the "docking" of project tree & property editor (and the way other windows resizing/maximizing interacts) is kinda ad-hoc
wouldn't it be better to make dedicated (foldable/hideable/auto-shrinking) columns / docking containers on the sides, and constrain floating windows to the center region?
[IDK if this is just a joke, or if it might be usable] heck, make the center arbitrarily large, scrollable and zoomable for extra Self/Smalltalk points ;-)
tabs are probably more proven / generally accepted
still, some colum/row stacking, manual splitting, or side docking might be nice for "split views"
