Dear remotes developer team,

We are currently developing an automatic pipeline @Roche where we need the following functions:

add_metadata
remote_metadata
github_remote

to write GitHub information into our DESCRIPTION files.

  1. Is there a plan to export them with one of the next releases? I think they are pretty mature now. There was an issue ENH: Export github_remote and other remote functions? #56 closed in 2017 that had the same request
  2. Can you propose a way of writing all GitHub infos without these functions?
