Can document() be called during install_github() or shall I commit dot Rd?

It looks like roxygen is not invoked on a package checked out from github during install_github(). I wonder if one is supposed to commit all dot Rd files in a repository? It looks odd since those are generated files. It would be nice if there was an option so all dot Rd and NAMESPACE are updated during installation from github.

Yes, you are supposed to commit them. It's a compromise, because otherwise the dependencies start to get heavy.
