package not reloaded after install

running devtools::install, leaves the library not loaded.

Looks like it's being reloaded, then there's a spurious NAMESPACE rewrite and the package is left unloaded?

mypkgfun()
# "hi"
devtools::document()
devtools::install()

# Updating mypkg documentation
# Writing NAMESPACE
# Loading mypkg
# Writing NAMESPACE
mypkgfun()
Error in mypkgfun() : could not find function "mypkgfun"

workaround = manual reload

library(mypkg)
mypkgfun()
# "hi"
