Typst: Turn off page numbering

Description

I have an incredibly simple Quarto document using Typst. I need to turn off page numbering and I can find no way of effectively doing that either in YAML front matter or using Typst #set commands.

Does anyone know of a straightforward way to accomplish this simple and common requirement?

I guess my question was is this able to be done in YAML, just like section numbering, columns and TOC creation. Bluntly for my 1 page A5 document going in and creating a partial will take longer than writing the document.

I think you are exaggerating quite a bit in the time needed to replace numbering: '1' with numbering: none in the template and adding the two lines to add the template to your YAML.

Note that it's not possible for Quarto/Pandoc to have an option for every possible thing HTML/Word/LaTeX/Typst/PowerPoint/etc. can do.

/for me it's a matter of approach. Whether the developers adopt a user-centric approach or a tech-centric approach. Having to dig through dense documentation to even find where to make the change, then make the change...Some things are better in YAML they're more accessible to everyone there.
