Start performing simple VQE calculations using real quantum computing backends like IBMq by exploring:

  • Qiskit-runtime Estimator
  • Error mitigation, e.g, Zero Noise Extrapolation (ZNE) and Probabilistic Error Cancellation (PEC),
  • Error suppression
  • Pennylane with IBMq devices; see https://pennylane.ai/qml/demos/ibm_pennylane
  • Xanadu cloud client
