auto_oo could be another alternative to be wrapped around qc2. At the moment, this code:

  • Generate orbital optimized cost functions and Hamiltonians via automatic differentation with Pytorch.
  • Supports gradients and hessians of hybrid cost functions based on OAOs rotations and parameterized quantum circuits.
  • It is based on Pennylane, OpenFermion and Cirq.
  • Currently implemented with pyscf only but could be extended to other qm packages via ase.
  • Requires more testing and documentation.
