Reasons for the request

After 5 years on stale I took over the maintaining responsability for the sphinxcontrib-video sphinx extention. I was forced to request admin rights from the sphinx-contrib administration issues as the original maintainer was nowhere to be found.

I would like to release the project on pypi as many were requesting (sphinx-contrib/video#2). The problem is that in 2022 one of the user (not the original maintainer) created the project with the promise of handing it over if a maintainer showed up. Unfortunately he has 0 activitty here or on github and it's very unlikely that he will answer our calls.
