What happened just before the problem occurred? Or what problem could this idea solve?
I was pasting content from another document into a draft Research Note when as soon as i pressed "command" (on a Mac) the browser window rapidly scrolled to the very bottom of the page so that the footer was visible. It also happens when i press the "control" key, and i just noticed also when pressing the shift key (like when adding an asterisk to make a bullet point in markdown).
Pressing any character key or arrow key scrolls the view back up to the proper position on the text box, but wow it's jarring.
What did you expect to see that you didn't?
I did not expect the window to scroll when pressing a helper key.
