Send-PNPMail in Exchange Online to shared mailboxes

I support Exchange Online in our organisation, our SharePoint team is attempting to send mail using Send-PNPMail but it does not work and there is no log of it in Message Trace. Has anyone come across this issue?

I had a similar issue. I was getting the error "The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient." when trying to send email to a shared mailbox. I managed to get over this issue by adding the shared mailbox as a member to one of the SP Groups on the same SharePoint Site the script is connected to. I hope it helps.
