Minimalistic syntax highlighting support

Dear @pioul,

Thank you very much for your Chrome application! This is by far the best editor that I have found to quickly compose my emails in Markdown.

The only thing I am slightly missing is basic syntax highlighting support for Markdown (left window), for instance for bold, italic text or quotes. Would it be possible to add a basic support for Markdown syntax?
