Tofi slow at deleting characters

First of all, thank you for this amazing tool!

I just have a minor issue to report. Tofi feels slightly laggish and slow when deleting characters compared to when one is writing them down when I use it in dmenu mode for searching and opening files.

Is this because Tofi is performing its calculations also when going backward? Could an option be to allow a timeout before these calculations kick in?
