Some sounds are much louder than others. For example, the grab sound is very easy to hear, but the thud sound made when the books come into contact is difficult to hear at times. With voicing enabled, I can't hear the thud sound or the filtered noise generator (rubbing books together) during an utterance. I found these sounds especially helpful for knowing when the books were/weren't touching--especially since the "move down to rub harder" hint isn't given after a lot of atoms have been removed.

I don't think this should block friction. It could be lower quality speakers which don't handle multiple sounds very well or the speakers just don't have enough dynamic range. Closing.
