I want to have PDM available on multiple machines with the same version and dependencies available.

I intend to achieve this by using PDM packer, which is working great so far.

Two problems remain.:
1.) the version is reported to be 0.0.0, which has been fixed upstream already (excellent response time!)
2.) the check for potential updates should either be disabled at pack time, or the check target adjusted to the place we distribute our pre-packed PDMs internally.

Is there a recommended way to achieve this?

Many thanks for considering my request.
Franz

I was able to disable the recommendation to update PDM by using this documentation.:
https://pdm.fming.dev/latest/usage/project/
the section about SITE_CONFIG_ROOT.

This works for our always-up UNIX machines, but not for the laptops of our team.

A suggestion on how to disable this within the packed pdm.pyz is still very much appreciated.
