  • browser version: Nightly
  • operating system: Windows (I suspect all OS are effected)
  • explicit instructions how to get to the broken feature/webpage:

When a new update is available, the PanelUI-menu (hamburger icon) is badged, with an arrow signifying a download. This arrow is green.

Upon clicking the hamburger icon, there is a menu item available, also themed green:

This colouration appears to be coming from the following userChrome.css styling (line 934 for me, but may be different for you - I am using the installer, and some customised CSS):

.panel-banner-item {
  background-color: hsla(96,65%,37%,.9)!important
}

As I am unsure if the green hue specified there is intentional, I have worked around this with the following:

/* Blue download badge on hamburger menu */
#PanelUI-menu-button .toolbarbutton-badge {
  background-color: var(--accent-3) !important;
}

/* Blue menu for nightly updates */
toolbarbutton[label-update-available="Download Nightly update"],
toolbarbutton[label-update-manual="Download a fresh copy of Nightly"],
toolbarbutton[label-update-unsupported="You cannot perform further updates"],
toolbarbutton[label-update-restart="Restart to update Nightly"] {
  background-color: var(--accent-3) !important;
}

/* Blue icon on menu */
toolbarbutton[label-update-available="Download Nightly update"]::after ,
toolbarbutton[label-update-manual="Download a fresh copy of Nightly"]::after ,
toolbarbutton[label-update-unsupported="You cannot perform further updates"]::after ,
toolbarbutton[label-update-restart="Restart to update Nightly"]::after  {
  background-color: var(--accent-1) !important;
}

I now have a blue icon and menu, coherent with the usual ShadowFox theme:
