Apple M1 chip #3
Comments
@IAlibay @ianmkenney do you know if the conda-forge package #6 will support Apple M1? |
@orbeckst It's unclear. The container running the build/tests doesn't seem to make a specific mention of M1, so I doubt it |
You'll have to do the migration on conda-forge I think. |
@IAlibay how do we start the migration for the feedstock https://github.com/conda-forge/hole2-feedstock ? |
@orbeckst - just raised a PR here: conda-forge/conda-forge-pinning-feedstock#4388 |
thanks! |
@IAlibay does our cf package work on M1/M2? |
No, we never resolved this PR; |
Ok — sigh — still open then. Looking at conda-forge/hole2-feedstock#1 this will require some digging. |
@ianmkenney did you ever build and tested hole2 on an M1/M2 mac? |
No. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the issues at the time were. |
Just an FYI to people with new Macs, the older OSX version available @ http://www.holeprogram.org/ does not seem to work with the M1 chip.
-bash: hole2/exe/hole: Bad CPU type in executable
