Student Developer Pack and Copilot / Help Needed!

Hi!
I got my Student Developer Pack approved today.
I went to VSCode, clicked Copilot image on right upper corner and it opened chat.
I clicked "Use copilot for free".

Now copilot is working, but I just got email that told me there are only 50 chats and 2000 codelines I can use. Student Developer Pack have no limits so I think I have get the "wrong Copilot version".

So how can I connect my Student Developer Pack Copilot to VSCode's Copilot? And how do I know I'm using it (and not free trial)? I don't only want limited use as I might have now.

Hi @hannatammela ,

First of all, log out from the Copilot extension in VSCode, then go to the pack offers page, scroll down to the "All offers" section and select Copilot to redeem the pro version of the Student Developer Pack, then go to VS and log in again using the same account with the benefits.

After doing that, to make sure you are using Copilot PRO, just go to your copilot settings, you should see the same as the following screenshot:

I got that same thing as you in the screenshot.
So now I just clicked "Copilot in your IDE".
Can I see it somewhere in VSCode that I'm using Copilot PRO?

Hey @hannatammela you're welcome, if you're seeing that message it means you have access to Copilot Pro, so you don't have to worry anymore because it's tied to your GitHub account and therefore, to the extension in VS Code! 👍
