Commits with right userName and email not appearing in contributions calendar

I recently realised that the contributions I am making to a specific repository, are not appearing in the contributions calendar.
User name and email appear correctly setup in the terminal
git config user.name outputs PuffCab
git config user.email outputs the right email.
I checked the last commit I made (using .patch) , the credentials are correct, but it is not credited to me in the calendar.

Could someone give me a hint about what could be the problem?

I use VSCode and Mac.

I just realised those contributions are not made to the main branch.

Hi @PuffCab , that's correct, commits made on a secondary branch or on the main branch of a forked repository won't count as contributions, they will count when a pull request has been merged into the main branch or into the source repo, in which case all the commits plus the merged pull request are counted as contributions.
