Description of issue

I am writing a new cask formula for veracrypt built against fuse-t (for Apple Silicon) which depends on another cask that requires a tap.

The tap in question is 'macos-fuse-t/cask' and the cask required is 'macos-fuse-t/homebrew-cask/fuse-t'

Right now I have the following depends_on stanze:

  depends_on cask: "macos-fuse-t/homebrew-cask/fuse-t"

When installing I get the following, expected, error:

Is there a graceful way of doing this from within the formula?

Answer supplied in PR. No formula can be added that depend on 3rd party casks.

I thought FUSE-T was supposed to be a drop-in replacement for MacFUSE. Does the existing veracrypt cask not work if you install FUSE-T in place of MacFUSE?

To my knowledge, there are two different builds of veracrypt available: one that depends on macFUSE and another that depends on FUSE-T. The existing veracrypt cask installs the original macFUSE-compatible version, so a new cask is needed to install the FUSE-T build.

Ah OK, just noticed that the fuse-t author named the FUSE shared library differently. For this to work, a fuse-t cask would have to be added to homebrew/cask first.
