Assistance Needed to Choose the Correct Camera model #166

I need your assistance to choose the best camera option that satisfies the following requirements.

  • Camera will be deployed in an indoor environment.
  • Operating depth range is around 2m with highest possible precision.
  • Minimum RGB and depth rates: 30 FPS at highest resolution and can increase for lower resolution options.
  • Support for multi camera hardware syncing.
  • Multiple cameras can be connected to NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute module using ethernet connection.
  • Cameras must be interfaceable with ROS 2 in network mode (no USB). The RGB and "aligned" depth images can be published as ROS topics out of the box, for each camera.
  • Depth computation must be done on the camera to save computations on the edge device.
  • All cameras connected to the network are synced

Kindly recommend the best 3D camera option that satisfies the above requirements and mention the necessary accessories such as syncing cables/hubs, and USB-to-ethernet converters if needed.
