The Montana Legislative Branch is planning to modernize their web presence and the associated applications before the next legislative session in 2025. On their public facing website, they will be providing REST APIs for those agencies and private entities that use bill and session related data in bulk for their own applications. These APIs are intended to replace the method of screen scraping used previously.

They have published a swagger spec for them at https://api-public.legmt.gov/archive/swagger-ui/index.html

Thanks for the head's up. We're already using the new API for our bill scraper, but having a link to the actual schema will help us fix up a few things we had to make guesses on.

It looks like the archive endpoint is for a temporary test environment and they are planning to transition to a new one on Sept 9th. They will have separate micro-services for bills, committees and legislators. The specs for these are at:
