Digging around, I found this is happening because the
netcdf4
engine does not support fsspecs3.FileSystem
object herexradar/xradar/io/backends/cfradial1.py

However, if we change the engine to
h5netcdf
, it will work and will create exactly the samedatatree
object.@kmuehlbauer, what do you think are the main implications of using
h5netcdf
instead ofnetcdf4
