- Michael Schnuerle (MS) - OMF opened the meeting up by welcoming everyone and led the background on CDS
- Angela Giacchetti (AG) – OMF gave a rousing recap on the November OMF Summit in LA, detailing 5 key takeaways and how much fun everyone had
- MS highlighted that in 2025 OMF staff plan to attend TRB, CoMotion, and IPMI.
- MS detailed the 1.0.1 patch release which primarily clarifies and cleans up types (no new functionality)
- MS gave update on Curb Objects which is now pushed to development branch. This will be included in eventual 1.1 release. Big thanks to CurbIQ for all their hard work! MS encourages WG members to leave comments on Curb Objects in github
- Edwin van den belt (EVB) asked if OGC was taken into account for describing how CDS/Curb Objects are written. MS recommends EB to create an issue on github for WG to discuss OGC.
- MD led discussion on adding a payment method field to CDS Events #157
- CDS currently has no way of indicating payment method information. There is a need for cities and companies to know how a curb user paid for a curb event. Similar to how MDS does it.
- MS noted that he would prefer CDS to be more aligned with MDS but would like input on how cities are describing these events now
- Hernan Mejia (HM) likes the idea of separating the payment (cash, credit/debit) and the payment method (meter, pay station, app) Jacob Malleau (JM) noted that should include QR code as well.
- Kevin White (KW) recommended WG reference SFMTA public API for meter revenue transactions
- MS would like a list of potential options and a list of use cases for this type of information
- Felix Mark – Inrix – Continuing to work with SFMTA to digitize entirety of San Francisco
- Jacob Malleau – CurbIQ – continue working on SMART grant projects. Would like dedicated WG sessions for lessons learned
- Em Burnett – OMF – Continue to finalize white papers on OMF collab
- David Von Stroh – CS - In Philly we will be looking at developing a CDS version that includes the entire right-of-way, so at some point we might have discussion in this forum of how that CDS+ branch would sit in relationship to the standard CDS
- Kevin White – Walker – working with Minneapolis to CDSify their asset management program and work with freight operators to understand how they want to use tools
- AGH – OMF – Grow CDS SIGNIFICANTLY in EU. Cityfi will be extension of OMF in EU
- Kenya Wheeler – SFMTA – creating digital twin of all San Francisco. Doing occupancy pilot with Automotus
- Next meeting will be adjusted after the holidays on January 7 to not overlap with TRB. Be on the lookout!
