Support for a registration workflow might be useful for those organisations that want to implement a portrayal registry.

This issue is relevant to the Portrayal Registry Service concept that was prototyped by OWS-8 and specified by DGIWG extending CSW-ebRIM.

Although this might not be an issue for Part 1: Core, it is worth discussing as a possible future extension.

The functionality may even leverage the PUT/POST operation discussed at #40

If such a thing is really needed as a standard, this would first require the API building blocks for such registers (and probably a charter update to record the new task). If these exist, they could simply be reference like OGC API Styles references the generic requirements classes from OGC API Features Part 4 for the simple Create/Replace/Update/Delete operations on resources.

I would recommend to close the issue until there is a more concrete proposal.
