We have removed any external links to edx.org in these pages:
https://docs.openedx.org/en/latest/educators/concepts/accessibility/accessibility_guidelines.html
https://docs.openedx.org/en/latest/educators/concepts/accessibility/accessibility_best_practices_checklist.html#accessibility-best-practices-checklist

And we removed the edx.org reference from the notes. @sarina I believe you can call this complete.

I don't see that note in any file in the repo.

I found the note (here). I'm reviewing the a11y documents now, and I'm going to add part of the legal note back in because I think it's important:

However, for clarity, use of Open edX authoring tools does not ensure that your course content will be accessible.

Closing this issue and will have a PR for a11y review up later today.
