Real scanning area is smaller than video container

I'm trying to scan EAN13 Barcodes and most of the time they get scanned only when you stick the barcode to the left edge. So as if it was close to this overlay.

Same distance/focus on the other side dont decode.
Is there a way to see the real scanning area of zxing and increase it/make it fit the video container?

Did you manage to fix it @innpyt ? I also facing the same thing. The scanner won't detect the barcode unless I position the barcode to the left side of the camera.
