HTML is not being compress

I have the following Setup. I used to use octopress to minify my HTML. But for some reason, i cant get it to work now. Is it still working in jekyll? I am using jekyll 3.0.1

gems:
  - octopress-minify-html

minify_html: true

I am facing the same issue (also having updated to jekyll 3.0.1).
I think it might be corresponding to the pull request being an issue with hook naming.
